HOOK 'EM!

IT'S ABOUT DAMN TIME.  We still have a long way to go though if we're going to beat USC.

I completely lost my voice this weekend, but it was totally worth it.

I think this weekend helped convince my bro to give up Brooks and go to UT next fall!  Yes, another longhorn in the family.  :)

Norway was AMAZING!  I learned so much both personally and professionally.  I'll try to post pics as I get them b/c the place is just beautiful and must be shared.

After Norway, I went straight to Ohio for the DSP National Leadership Retreat.  Seeing central office was really cool.  It wasn't exactly like I expected.  First, the building doesn't face the street so I could have easily past it without knowing it.  Second, it was so cool to see both our chapter petitions.  Anyone know what the original Beta Kappa colony name was?  By the way those founding members who have changed the most from their pics in the petition include Neil, Ted, and most of all is Rushi.  Oh and by the way each of the founding class listed where they'd be in 10 years...how's the NBA working out Sunil?  :)Third, I saw more pink poodle stuff...Jac would have been in heaven.  Fourth, it was cool to see everyone's Form 19 (that thing you fill out as a pledge), but sucks b/c the Beta class on is the online form instead of a hand written form with your signature.

So, now I'm back home and my first day back to work in Houston was today.  They finally hired my replacement for my old duties and I spent the entire day trying to catch up on emails and then assisting her.  She's nice so hopefully she'll catch on and stay awhile.

Now I'm ready for bed as I've needed a nap all freaking day!

So, I'm still in Norway with one more day to go.  Kongsberg has been great considering it's my first foreign city, but it's small and not much to do so two weeks seems long.  Oslo was great to visit last Sat. and I'm headed there tomorrow after work.  I'll stay in a hotel in Oslo since my plane takes off so FREAKING EARLY on Friday morning, but it had to be that way so I could get to Ohio by Friday night.

I'm watching the weather hoping Rita doesn't hit TX/LA too hard.  I'll be in Ohio when it hits, but hopefully returning Sunday evening.

So, auditing may or may not be my thing...I'm still trying to figure that out.  We'll see how my evaluation goes.  I do want at least another shot at it though and maybe the next time they'll send me to Spain!  I do have to say that this trip has gotten me even more excited for my New Year's trip.

In other news, HOOK 'EM HORNS.  I haven't seen American football in weeks now, but I'm pleased to see the results each week and I just got OU tickets so I'll be in Dallas when we finally win.

Ok, time to go back to work....

Damn stupid people who accept offers and then turn them down.  We're still hiring....

Thanks Alan and Tim for being such awesome interns!  Send me your resumes if you're looking for a job....even if you're graduating in Dec. b/c at this rate we could still have some positions available.
